The basic service of the church, begun by Jesus at the Last Supper. Here we worship God, pray and praise God, listen to the Bible and hear a sermon (teaching).
The climax comes when the bread and wine are consecrated (dedicated to God) and shared with people present as a sign of unity.
This is holy communion with the music led by the choir and organist (hence 'choral'). Eucharist is from the Greek and means 'thanksgiving' which is what we are about.
Our Family Service is usually held on the third Sunday of the month, but do check this month's
Calendar
Led by the Singing Group and Orchestra, this is an informal yet traditional service geared towards family worship
and includes liturgy, hymns, songs, Holy Communion and occasionally dramas.
The traditional evening service of the church. It is sometimes called Evening Prayer.
A service taken from the monastic services of the church and used as an alternative to evensong.
