Fellowship is a key part of Christianity (Acts 2:42)
It's good to journey together offering our friendship and support and one of the main ways we can get to know each other better is to join a group!
Why not check out the many different groups available at the cathedral and see if one of them is for you?
Please contact the office if you are interested in joining any of these groups
The Association of Anglican Women is a group for women of all ages who enjoy sharing
friendship and fellowship.
We offer Christian support, laughter and social interaction within the Cathedral family.
AAW was formed throughout New Zealand in 1969, bringing together the Mothers Union and Young Wives groups.
We work together for women and families both here and overseas.
There is a strong link with the National Council of Women and we are able to express our concerns
about many family and social issues in New Zealand through this forum.
The Aims of the AAW are to
Our meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 2.00pm.
We provide a wide variety of speakers and activities and would like to welcome anyone from our parish to join us at these meetings.

Exercise groups meet in the Quiet Room, at the Cathedral.
The Friends are a small group of dedicated people who work for the good of the Cathedral ministry and enjoy some
social time together doing it!
From time to time the Friends take on a fundraising role and work towards certain projects. For example, over the years
the Friends have contributed robes, an official medallion for the dean, furnishing and much else besides. In one of their most
imaginitive projects, they underwrote the publishing of the history booklet 'The Church on the Hill', which is now in its second reprinting.
The Friends are not just about fundraising. The provision of further opportunities for fellowship by them is much appreciated.
Finally, the Friends Committee has recently taken on the challenge to provide Cathedral Experience opportunites for
groups in churches and in the rest of society. Such experiences would include a guided tour of the cathedral, explanation
of our ministry and time for refreshment.
Any groups who would like to sign up for a Cathedral Experience should contact the Secretary of the Friends, Elizabeth McKee-Benbow, by contacting the office by 'phone, fax or post
The meditation group meets in the Chapel on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm
