Nelson Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson, is the principal church of the Diocese of Nelson.
It serves the needs of Cathedral parishioners as well as the wider church, the diocese and the city.
The Maori name for the hill on which the Cathedral stands is Pikimai, which means come up hither
Our worship follows traditional Anglican patterns, although we also enjoy less formal worship suitable for the whole family.
The Dean of Nelson, the Very Reverend Nick Kirk, leads the ministry of this cathedral.
Other clergy and dedicated lay people also help maintain the preaching and teaching, the leading of worship and pastoral care.
